About this Campaign

From the streets of Egbeda, Lagos through Ikoyi Link Bridge to the shores of Kribi, maybe a flight to Bamako and a return trip to Accra. The past 365 days since we last sang the words of Pride has dared sexual minorities and gender diverse persons in this part of the world. With songs of violence through unfavourable laws and killings being loud on these streets, this year we are celebrating renaissance Queer form of "Living the Life of Hope"

Pride would be happening in West Africa again. This year with the theme “Living the life of Hope” aimed at capturing the thriving community in criminalised places like Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon. we are also looking to document this resilience in our upcoming anthology titled “Tales of Hope” .. Pride to us presently would not be us on the street, as we understand the security implication of this, but as we’ve always done, it’s always communion and gathering of Queer bodies in West African countries.
