About this Campaign

Now More Than Ever!

We are so grateful for the generosity of our supporters, who have helped us provide assistance to thousands in greatest need here in Kahangi village, Uganda since the COVID-19 crisis began. More than 2,000 families around Kahangi village have been reached out with relief food packs including maize (corn) flour, rice, beans, sugar, cooking oils, salt, soap and other essential supplies. We could not have done any of this without you!

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, halting the global tourism industry, local communities in Uganda who rely on tourism for income are being severely impacted. Uganda is currently going through the second and third wave of Covid19 pandemic and the government has imposed a total lockdown and restrictions which has amplified the country’s struggle against poverty. Tourism is one of Uganda ‘s main drivers for economic growth, providing thousands of local people and communities with jobs, food and long-term security.

Justice Tourism Foundation is a social impact travel grassroots tourism non-profit organization working with some of the most impoverished communities in Uganda to support community initiatives through tourism revenue. The Foundation which sees 100% of its operating budgets generated by our tourism initiatives and tour excursions including a cafe and guesthouse rooms and these have been halted due to the COVID-19.

As a result of COVID-19 our income has stopped not only for our projects but the ripple effects our projects had on the community of other farmers in the area. We are also very concerned that the lack of tourism and the need for income for the local communities who have been relying on tourism for their livelihoods could result in wildlife destruction such as poaching.

We all know that COVID-19 is impacting many aspects of your lives, and of course across the global, but if you feel financially able to support us through these unprecedented times, it will be greatly appreciated as you and us join our hearts and hands to show our kindness by saving the lives of these desperate vulnerable families in Uganda . This is the time – now more than ever – show your kindness and to help out your fellow human beings, especially in countries where people aren’t privileged enough to receive government funding. Every dollar counts and will contribute to helping out Ugandan families in need!
