About this campaign

There is an immediate and growing need for over 6,000s of wheelchairs in West Nile (current targeted districts), Arua, Koboko, Maracha, Terego, Madi Okollo, Nebbi, Zombo & Packwach

The current waiting list of assessed children and adults who need wheelchairs numbers are over 5200. And we have managed to get 155 for distribution in June, 2021, we ship twice annually from the donor 700 wheelchairs and tricycles. These are given for free

World Action Fund has the solid experience and established networks needed to collect, transport, and deliver the wheelchairs to individuals in Uganda, with trained volunteers in basic and pediatric wheelchair and tricycle management

The project is a big win-win by saving local governments in West Nile the large cost of buying wheelchairs, and trikes and giving mobility and a chance at a better life to poor disabled Ugandans

To execute the project, additional funds are needed to cover the costs of collection, storage, and transportation; we are seeking for $3,751 to cover these costs of distribution of these wheelchairs and Tricycles.
