  • Every volunteer will be expected to plan their schedules according to their projects and interests and then create their weekly calendar which will be connected to our Google Calendar. We expect all volunteers to contribute at least 20 hours of service each week.
  • Volunteers usually have weekends off and plenty of free time during the week to enjoy the beaches, trails, surf and all the natural beauty of Itacaré.

Local Excursions and Sightseeing

ETIV volunteers will receive discounts on excursions and tours through our partnership with local tour guides and agencies.

Some excursions/sights we recommend are: canoeing or kayaking through lush mangroves, rain-forest hikes to exotic beaches and waterfalls, whitewater rafting, whale watching, and boat tours to more excluded islands and beaches.

  • An ETIV staff member is available 24/7 for emergencies.
  • There are also local clinics, and a hospital within walking distance of the volunteer house.
