Improve English reading and conversation skills of Cambodian children and youth
Kep Gardens Association is a vocational training center in rural Cambodia teaching various skills to help the local village youth gain employment.
Volunteers sleep at Kep Gardens in our volunteer house, situated in a valley with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. There are 2 rooms in the volunteer house, each sleeping, 4 volunteers. Each room has an ensuite shower (cold water). The rooms are cleaned daily, laundry services are provided every 2 days, and there is generator power between 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm (including WiFi).
We provide 3 meals a day (a mixture of Khmer and European food). Lunch and dinner are followed by a fruit plate. All the fresh water, tea or coffee you can drink is provided free of charge. We can provide vegetarian meals but they are basic due to ingredients available locally. A school canteen on the grounds is available for cold drinks.

Local Excursions and Sightseeing
Kep Gardens is situated in the Kampong Tralach Village at the entrance to the Kep National Park. We are happy to offer village tours, jungle treks and local pagoda visits for an additional fee. A nearby guest house allows our volunteers to use their swimming pool. The town of Kep is 10 km away, Rabbit Island is off the coast of Kep and Kampot is 20 km away - all of which are ideal weekend getaways! Volunteers may like to visit the pepper plantations and caves which are just a tuk-tuk ride away. Bicycles are available and Tuktuks are available for hire.
Our hosts, Janine and Andrew, both live at Kep Gardens and are always available to arrange a 24-hour service to Sonja Kill Hospital, a European hospital roughly 25 kilometers away in case of emergency.
