Age/Experience: Volunteers must be at least 17 years or older and no specific skills are required however flexibility and patience are very important as you will be working with children of different ages and levels of ability. A background or some knowledge of performing arts is an asset for this project, whether in dance, drama, or music. You should keep a flexible attitude towards working in a new and a multi-cultural environment.

Program Dates: Available year-round. You choose the start and end dates. Length of Stay: 1 to 2 week(s) minimum. 6 months maximum.

Abofra Foundation is a registered (CG000492016) local non-profit organisation in Ghana seeking to improve the socio-economic well being of vulnerable and destitute children.The idea of Abofra Foundation was earlier discussed in 2013 with family and friends, established in 2015 and officially registered (2016) by our founder, Kwasi Ampadu. Abofra Foundation has impacted the lives of most children.

The name Abofra means a child in the Akan(Twi) language in Ghana. The reason for the choice of name is that, children are the hope and future leaders of every town, community, country or nation. So the well-being of children are our great concern.

Initially with support from family and friends saw to the start of Abofra Foundation. Kwasi Ampadu and his team are determined to see that every child in Ghana have access to basic needs namely good health, clean drinking water, education to mention a few. The early activities of any child is very important, since is most likely to determine the future of the child.
We believe that the total development of children through activities of health, education and support for orphans will lead to the development of the entire community.

Mission: To promote holistic human transformation, human dignity and integrated development programs that focus on children.

Vision: To help create a better future for the children in our communities through computer training, health care and support for orphans.

Goal: To see a very developed and empowered children.
