What We Need

Our mission is to support projects for healthcare, education and community development. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to share skills as healthcare workers with Tanzanian healthcare practitioners as a part of our community health center continuing education program. This could include; acupuncturists, herbalists, physicians, massage therapists, dentists, physical therapists, psychotherapists and doulas.

We are also looking for volunteers who can help train women and young children in sewing, fashion design, quilting, crafts, knitting and entrepreneurship. This volunteering will be a part of a well established program called Mama & Me where women and children in our village come several days per week for complimentary training.


When & Who

This is an ongoing program. The only month we don't conduct workshops is during the month of December.

What we Provide

We have two types of accommodations; for up to two people, lodging is provided at our home. For groups of 2 or more, accommodations are provided at a nearby lodge.

Our Fees

$100
$150

The $100 daily fee covers accommodation at our home base or with a host family, 3 meals/day at the home base, or with host family, ground transportation to and from volunteer work sites. The one-time fee is a non-refundable security deposit that will be applied to the total balance due.

Other Ways to Help

Sewing and Crafts

Volunteer with our Mama & Me group for 4 hours at our village workshop space teaching sewing and craft activities. You will need to provide the materials for the workshop. We do have both manual and motor operated sewing machines.

CPR mannequins, portable defibrillator, digital blood pressure machines (with adult & adolescent cuffs), stethoscopes, "no-touch" thermometers

Motor Operated Sewing Machines, Craft Supplies, Sewing Supplies, Fabrics and notions of all kinds, Knitting Loom, Fabric Paints and Dyes, Screen printing supplies, Dress forms, Sewing and Crafting Idea and "how-to" Books,

You will need to obtain a business visa upon entry into Tanzania from the immigration desk at the International airport. We will provide you with the invitation letter needed for the business visa. Our volunteer manual will provide additional information that you will need before and during your stay with us.

The volunteering activities remain the same from season to season
