From March till June and from August till December to work with kids, and the year-round to help with the ecological agriculture.

Vale Viver was founded in 2003 by a Brazilian Nivande Machado and a Belgian Greet Fleurackers.
We work with the poorest families, providing foodbaskets and atending the children.
Up to 12 years of age we attend them after school hours helping them with their schoolwork.
These kids and also teenagers are offered activities to develop their social skills and self esteem through arts (theater, dance, crafts, martial arts etc.)
Kids from 14 and older can participate in various courses like computerclass, courses in manicure, hairdressing etc.
We focus also on women, offering activities (and sometimes courses, when we find the volunteers) so they can gain some money.
We will soon (beginning 2018) start working with the women in the countryside, creating foodproducing gardens as a way to become self-employed and to get out of the extreme poverty they are living in. That way all the family members will have the chance to thrive, and the children the chance to study.

What are you waiting for?

We at Associação Vale Viver de Promoção Social would love to hear from you!
