Who we are

CLED-Campaign for Learning Disabilities is a grassroot NGO with the goal of supporting children with learning disabilities and co-occurring difficulties to improve their learning and reach their potential so that they can become valued members of their community.

Volunteer/Intern activities include one or two of the following:
• Working alongside and shadowing professional teachers in doing task
like co-teaching, in class teacher support and individualized support
for children with learning disabilities or attention issues
• Sharing ideas, experiences and skills with local teachers
• Marking students work and doing error analysis and correctional
teaching with students
• Designing and developing teaching learning materials like posters,
counters etc to help pupils learning
• Assist in school or cluster-based in service training workshops for teachers
• Assist in developing and designing guidebooks on learning
disabilities, management strategies and inclusive education for
teachers and parents
• Assist in research activities

1. Pre-departure handbook
2. Airport pick up and drop off
3. Accommodation and board throughout volunteering
4. Meals throughout volunteering
5. Orientation within the Capital town of Ghana- Accra and Kasoa
6. Compensation to host family
7. 24/7 Security support by our staff
8. Small administrative cost for organizing placement
9. Local SIM card for mobile phone

CLED-Campaign for Learning Disabilities is a grassroot NGO with the goal of helping children with learning disabilities and co-occurring difficulties to improve their learning and reach their potential so that they can become valued members of their community.
CLED trains parents, teachers, and communities on different subjects related to the needs of children with learning disabilities and co-occurring difficulties.
The organization runs weekly in-class support services as well as Saturday and vacation classes for children with learning disabilities and co-occurring difficulties.
CLED also runs community outreach programmes and radio talk shows, produces teaching and learning materials for schools, and distributes educational materials on learning disabilities and co-occurring difficulties.

$187 per one week and $750 for four weeks per volunteer it covers the following:
