The rationale of online volunteerism is to encourage individuals to share and utilise their knowledge and skills by voluntarily doing something positive to the communities, particularly those that will have a positive impact on the under- privileged children directly or indirectly. The work CISE is requesting is fundraising.
Day-to-day duties of online volunteer will be:
- Researching, developing and planning fundraising ideas.
- Managing door-to-door and street collections.
- Keeping records and reporting performance.
- Managing charity shops and online and mail order stores.
- Controlling budgets and meeting targets.
- Giving talks about CISE to the public.
- Writing reports and press releases.
When we receive your application CISE staff will tailor a volunteer program suitable to your skills and the needs of the organization. When you arrive you will have an orientation meeting with the staff, where you will find out more information about Malawian culture, CISE projects and the type of work you will be carrying out during your stay. You will be given a local SIM,for which you can buy internet data, to keep in touch with friends and family. Volunteers are expected to work five days a
