Fundraising

We will be thrilled if volunteers could help Development Concern Centre raise funds for our poorest rural women beekeeping training and hives making project/programme in the Northern Region of Ghana. The women need protective clothes, bee hives, hand gloves, boots, honey harvesting smokers, knives, plastic buckets and bee wax rendering materials. These beekeeping materials will enable the poorest peasant farmers to be professionally trained on improved beekeeping from the traditionally honey harvesting(where by they use naked fire to kill all the bees from their stings before harvesting the honey)

Development Concern Centre (Decc Ghana) is a registered NGO which empower rural communities through integrated programmes. The following are the activities;Helping Rural Women to carry out Improved Beekeeping , Supporting needy children education(buying school uniforms, school bags, books, school sandals, meals and their health),providing small loans to the poorest rural women to do farming, train school dropouts for computer literacy, teach book writing and local stories, train wall clocks making, make bee hives and other beekeeping materials for peasant farmers and rural women and help rural people to plant acacia trees where they place the bee hives. We have established a beekeeping study centre for rural people. We depend on donations and philanthropists support for our activities.
