What We Need

Volunteers can stay from one month to a year.

What we Provide

Types: Homestay, Volunteer House

All necessary stuffs for a comfortable and yet thrilling homestay or Hostel(Volunteer House) are provided during your stay these include:
-A comfortable Bed
-Bed Covers, bed sheets, and a pillow
-Water and Electricity

Types: Variety

We offer a variety of food/meal option for volunteers.
The diet is always arranged by the caretaker with the help of volunteers present at the hostel Food is prepared well in a healthy and clean environment

Our Fees

$10 daily
$100 One-time

The one time fee is a total of 250$,
-200$ for visa (paid by those who don't have visa)
-50$ This will be used as an emergency (if not used it will be returned at the end of your volunteering)
NB/ donations are a volunteers choice we prefer for a volunteer to do his/her research well before deciding which cause is he/she interested in donating towards

We will also provide Swahili lessons and local tours. We will also help in organizing memorable tour safaris to various beautiful Tanzania places such as Serengeti national parks, Ngorongoro crater, Mount Kilimanjaro and so many other places.

Jisikie Nyumbani Experience (Feel t home experience)

We offer a short term volunteering experience to tourists and volunteers who want to do something for the community in a short period of time
DURATION: 4-8 hours
ACTIVITIES: a volunteer gets to work in a project of his/her choosing for only a short period of time
The iternaries for a JISIKIE NYUMBANI EXPERIENCE are prepared per volunteer enquiry and information but the experience always remains a memorable one.

- Video cameras.
- Laptops and computers.
- Camping equipment, i.e. tents, flashlights, mattresses, sleeping beds etc.
- Safety gears.
- Drawing equipment.
- Teaching materials (books, pens, mark pens).
- Sports materials.

We have a total number of 15 staff members and the rolls are different according to their job descriptions. Our staff members are fully equipped to help a volunteer experience and learning be as smooth, fun and memorable as possible during his/her volunteering period.


Our organization is set on changing the community and yet provide a very unique experience to our volunteers we believe a volunteer can sparkle a light of hope and change a lot if he/she s given a chance to so we welcome anyone who wishes to volunteer with our organization

Foundation for Humane and Social Link (FOHUSO) is non-governmental organization which was found by a group of professionals and talented young Tanzanian in 2016 and registered under Non-Governmental Organization Act of 2002 section 12(2) with Registration number ooNGO/0009007. The NGO as a common interest of improving economic status of the people by fighting against income poverty and supporting the vulnerable group in the community, we are a non-profit sharing and non-political organization which is based with rising income, economic empowerment, social life skills and entrepreneurship and provision of social services to the communities.
FOHUSO has been working with local volunteers for a year and a lot of have been accomplished, In order for us to grow and reach a much larger part of the community we require more volunteers from all over the world with different skills.
The work we have accomplished so far was made possible by local volunteers and stripes tour safari we intend to make a larger impact come 2018.

The volunteers we will get a chance and honor to work with will arrive to FOHUSO as a volunteers but depart as part of FOHUSO’s family.
