The recommended accommodation in Cape Town is the Mojo hostel for foreign guests.
The Mojo was the ideal choice for the following reasons:
It is centrally located in Cape Town and easy to get to the national roadways;
It is a fairly safe location for international visitors;
The rental of the rooms are very reasonable and the type of accommodation is excellent for the groups we intend hosting;
It also has all the facilities needed including entertainment;
The Cape Town hosts are very familiar with the Mojo Hostel and have a very good relationship with its staff;
The Mojo Hostel is close to all the important tourist sites such as Table Mountain; Maiden's Cove; Clifton; The Waterfront; Cape Town central shopping malls; Cape Point; Robben Island; The District Six museum; Parliament; Green Market Square, and many others.
Yes, In winter, between May and August, it is difficult to do construction work outside.
If you prefer to come during winter, then only indoor activities will be planned.
Then we concentrate on community work, like feeding programs, teaching literacy to children, visiting schools, teacher support at primary (junior) schools in Cape Town; teaching English as a second language.
The Fuller Center for Housing Western Cape, South Africa, is a faith-driven and Christ-centered housing nonprofit organization.
It is our vision to end poverty housing in South Africa and to become the most successful Christian based, nonprofit housing organization in South Africa, but in particular, the Western Cape, which will make a significant difference in the lives of thousands of indigent families in the Western Cape seeking for decent, affordable housing.
We will promote collaborative and innovative partnerships with individuals and organizations in an unrelenting quest to provide adequate shelter for all people in need worldwide in general, but more specific in South Africa, the Western Cape.
