Hogar de Esperanza seeks to empower those we serve by providing programs and services to clients and their families. We also coordinate education and awareness campaigns through community outreach.We strive for Better quality of life for those affected by chronic diseases with an emphasis on HIV.
We need volunteers to provide customer service and to sort and to price donations in our thrift shop, to inventory and to prepare donated food for distribution, to support house projects in our patient residential facility, and to assist with various fundraising initiatives and special events.
Lunch is provided every day to all patients, staff, and volunteers who are working that day at the Hogar de Esperanza house. We cook whatever we have available, based on food donations and budget.
To provide all services and support free of charge.
To provide hope and comfort through emotional, spiritual, and community support.
To provide medical information and visitation support in cooperation with clients, hospitals, and the medical profession.
To provide accommodation, financial assistance, and other support services as needed.
To educate clients and their families to empower them to live with health and dignity.
To work with the community and various organizations, educational institutions, and the government to promote awareness and educate the public.
To strive to enable persons living with illness to access services, social and employment opportunities free from stigma and discrimination.
