Women Empowerment

What We Need

We are looking for volunteers who have knowledge or experience in the fields we've stated. Volunteers who can create opportunities and international relations. Volunteers should be ready to work in remote locations and need to be team players. Our main focus is children and education programs and therefore our preference is for volunteers aged 18 - 25 from both genders.

When & Who

We have no minimum duration stay, volunteers are welcome to stay for as long as they can sustain themselves.

Our Fees

$20 daily
$100 One-time

The daily fee is for facilitating your stay, which includes accommodation, meals, transportation to the field work, Internet, T-shirt, water and reservations.
The one time fee goes towards the administration of your stay and as a general donation to the funding of our projects.

We have a variety of tourist attractions around the cities we operate in, from animal orphanage, Game reserves, coastal experiences with amazing beaches and hotels, cultural exchange experiences, museums, mountains and adventures, equatorial climate experience cave camping. We are happy to suggest relevant excursions and assist in connecting volunteers with local guides, however the cost of such excursions shall be borne separately by the volunteers.

Kikwetu Foundation is a registered non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making organization which is dedicated to helping and addressing a variety of issues, with a particular focus on the Kenyan society although having interests in the entire African continent. The organization was established in 2014 in Kenya by a group of passionate youth who were determined to advocate for the promotion of the African culture as a way of creating wealth for the youth and other disenfranchised members of society. The main purpose and function of this organization is to mobilize, organize and redirect the energy of the youth towards maximum participation in relation to the major important matters of economic growth, development and innovation.
Kikwetu Foundation is, in essence, an initiative which celebrates and promotes African culture by developing the skills of people within the community. The pulse of Kikwetu Foundation is in youth empowerment and community development through exciting mediums such as the arts, culture, music and fashion. With a keen focus on youth and community development, we are passionate about changing the world around us by tapping into and promoting the talents of African youth.
