The activities of MADIPHA include; creating awareness on HIV services, encouraging persons with Disability to test for HIV, supporting households of persons with disability living with livelihoods and spearheading advocacy for recognition of rights of Persons in HIV&AIDS service delivery.
MADIPHA was started in 2009 as an HIV&AIDS support group of people with Disability. The founder members started the association with an aim of including People with disability in the mainstream care and support to people living with HIV&AIDS in Uganda.
The work of MADIPHA is conducted within the context of HIV&AIDS, disability and United Nations convention on the rights people with Disability (UNCRPD), Sustainable development goals (SDG) policy frame works drawn from the National HIV&AIDS strategic planning as well.
