What We Need
The Conservation Boot Camp program is based in Cousin Island Special Reserve, Seychelles. It involves helping with the conservation work and other activities necessary to run this award-winning nature reserve. The program is designed to give participants a chance to gain practical skills and experience, working with one of the most successful conservation organisations in the region. The program is unique and exclusive to 7 participants at any given time.
When & Who
What we Provide
Fees are used for administration and conservation work, along with logistic (accommodation, transport, etc.)
Also included in the fees are:
- Cooking facilities.
- Weekly boat trip to Praslin for food shopping and other supplies.
- T-shirts and shorts.

Science officer : lead conservation work
Chief warden : lead island logistic, maintenance and touristic activities
Program Coordinator : Lead CBC program and field work
Maintenance manager : lead and perform all maintenance work
Wardens : Guide touristic tours, Drive the boats, help in maintenance and conservation work
We have the Turtle season starting in October and ending in February.
From February to September we are in the seabird monitoring season.
