The Sentieri di Pace Sud Sudan – Path of Peace South Sudan is a nonprofit – nongovernmental organization, established in 2010 by a group of Italian professionals. The start of the organization was inspired by the solidarity of the people of Uboldo (Italy) shared for decades towards the South Sudanese people who had experienced 20 years of Civil War. The organization is registered in Italy as a Charitable Association whose head quarter is in Uboldo (VA), Via Garibaldi 11/98 21040.
Following the end of the war in Sudan, the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) between the Government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in 2005 which led to the Referendum and eventually the declaration of the independence of South Sudan on July 9, 2011. Sentieri di Pace Sud Sudan – Path of Peace South Sudan has formulated clear policies addressing health care, education, justice and peace, human rights, participation and promotion of income generating projects for the South Sudanese. The main thrust is to strengthen the existing structures and to empower communities and organizations with a special focus on the disadvantaged.
Sentieri di Pace Sud Sudan – Path of Peace South Sudan operates on a local scale to support social solidarity and promote basic human rights. It also aims at encouraging spiritual, moral and material support to South Sudanese People.
Sentieri Di Pace Sud Sudan – Path of Peace South Sudan is committed to protecting human rights and effective improvement of the living conditions of all the marginalized and disadvantaged South Sudanese people.
Sentieri di Pace Sud Sudan – Path of Peace South Sudan aim to ensure that every South Sudanese can enjoy the right to education and good health by helping to create informed and economically empowered communities who will work hard to become self-reliant.
To strive and empower all South Sudanese people with good relevant social, moral and economic skills through the establishment of a vocational Training Centre that will act as a model institution for the whole community.
