we are a community empowerment organization that is working very closely with the government of Kenya to advance development agenda in our community.
Volunteering Activities
What We Need
We being a community organization with very limited resources -
we shall need the volunteers to help the program in resource mobilization & fundraising and the social media in put which will have a positive impact to the project.
project marketing and editing campaigns are also encouraged .
we are very flexible to discus more with the volunteers with regards to our project work.
When & Who
What we Provide
The project shall provide meals and accommodation,internet services,traditional food ,drinks ,guide tours ,warm water etc
Our Fees
The volunteers will each CONTRIBUTE US Dollars 200 per week to the project for their up keep AND SUPPORT FOR THE PROGRAMS ACTIVITIES.
This will go along way in supporting the project activities BECAUSE THE PROJECT IS NOT HAVING FUNDS .
The efforts will be directed towards education, women empowerment programs and teachers support and other general applications in the project.
The reservation fee of usd 50 will provide a seed business capital to one of the needy women enrolled in our programs and doing small business .

Other Ways to Help
We would wish to have international volunteers who are experienced to visit our community development programs,cloths ,shoes,donations,good build school,funded women t o do business,sports equipment's,teachers be payed,community be trained in HIV/aids and a computer department for training g of the community.
Additional Info about Us
The organization is working in area that is very demanding and challenging in that the rate of HIV/aids and drug abuse is very rampant .
Poverty is also very high and not forgetting about a good number of school drop outs .
The situation is worse in that we are situated along the Nairobi kisumu highway which has really induced young girls and women to hover along the road .
Our school exist to try and address the above challenges and support the community adventures in our region.
This is an area where poverty level is high and most youth are not employed and lack skills to advance.
THE PHILDAN MEMORIAL COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION is registered community project.
its is conducting the following activities in our community-
the community education project provides education to the needy boys & girls from baby class to class 8.
the project is again supporting needy students enrolled in our community schools .
its also running a community y health & HIV programs in schools & community.
it promotes community food security programs & agriculture .
the project conducts community capacity building for the youth & women in our community.
community feeding programs for the needy in the community & material distribution .
the youth are also involved in community sport events & tournaments to reduce boredom and being idle .
women in the village are involved in community table banking and business development to reduce poverty.
The main sporting activity that I was involved in was football, the kids are incredible and we had managed to come up with an under 12 soccer team called the “Blues” a name given from the color of the sporting kit that we wore. These kids are inspiring and not to mention the immense talent that they possess. With a little help, to overcome a few challenges here and there, they have a bright future. This kids face an array of short falls including, lack of a playing ground, sporting kits, lack sufficient food to eat, stationary, lack sufficient infrastructure ( classrooms, latrines, electricity, teachers staffroom). They also do not have enough teaching staff just to mention but a few.
Income generating activities has always been my area of liking and I felt much helpful working with women, brainstorming on different projects that could help them generate income. The families are hardworking only for lack of enough capital which constantly hindered progress in most of the endeavors that we engaged in.
I would gladly inform all of you wishing to volunteer with Phildan Memorial Community Based Organization that it’s a place that needs your help and it’s the place you should be.
