We ideally would love volunteers to raise money for us so that we can continue our work supporting LGBTI people in crisis.
All year round.
There is no limit to how long a volunteer can help us out.
We cannot provide accommodation and meals. Volunteers must have a place to stay in Cape Town and the funds to keep themselves.
The Pride Shelter aims to provide residents with a friendly, safe and nurturing environment in which to stay while they start to recover and find their feet again; to support residents by referring them to other services that they may need, including counselling, sexual health, mental health and immigration services; and to ensure that when residents eventually move on, they do so with a clear purpose and direction.
We are not in a position to cover a volunteer's costs.
