International Volunteers will be housed in a guesthouse which will be located few minutes walk away from the place of work.

Rare Disease Ghana Initiative (RDGI) is a registered national Non-Governmental Organisation in Ghana made up of a network of professionals, patients, caregivers and organisations whose aim is to develop, seek wide endorsement and to advocate for the implementation of a plan to support research, education, service development and seek support for individuals and families affected by undiagnosed, genetic and rare diseases in Ghana.
RDGI brings together rare disease patient support groups, charitable and non-profit organizations, health organizations, clinical experts, researchers, emerging biotech enterprises, and industry partners to take action on rare disease in Ghana and in collaboration with international alliances.
RDGI provides the platform for addressing the gaps in the entire continuum of rare disease management from increased knowledge and awareness to early diagnosis and prevention to the best to best practice treatment and care to community engagement to access to best treatments and comprehensive research.
The Mission of RDGI is to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of persons affected by undiagnosed, genetic and rare diseases in Ghana. The vision of RDGI is to be the leading organization for healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers and researchers; serving as the voice and coordinating care for rare diseases in Ghana.
RDGI is a 2019 top rated non-profit (Greatnonprofit); a member of Rare Disease International; a member of African Alliance for Rare Disease and a member of Rare Foundation Alliance of Global Genes.
