We work to support people with hearing, sight and multi-facet disabilities and their families in their efforts to take their place in society.
We are looking new ways to support our activities. Peru is, currently, a middle income country so most of the "regular" funding entities have left the country. However, people with disabilities' access to regular Government programs and services is still very low. According to the results of first National Survey on Disability held on 2012, on Education only 64% of PWD concluded primary level while only 22,4% concluded secondary level. The situation is worse when we describe higher education with 4,7% in technical institutes and 6,9% in universities; on Health only 61,2% have health insurance and, finally, on Employment, only 21,7% is in the "Active Economic Population".
