Additional Info about Us
Founded in 2010, SEI Nepal works in reconstructing/renovating public schools in rural parts of Nepal. It strives to improve the standard of education in rural Nepal holistically by providing infrastructure support, resources and materials, and teacher training. We have a committed team of volunteers, staffs and board members, many of whom have been with us since the beginning.
Shanti Education Initiative Nepal (SEI Nepal), is a non-profit organization registered in the District Administration Office (499/067/68), Kathmandu and affiliated with Social Welfare Council (31278).
SEI Nepal has been involved in three major areas – infrastructural support, teacher training and volunteers mobilization in public schools of Nepal. Prior to the earthquakes of 2015, we had supported the infrastructural development for more than 20 schools of Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchok, Dolakha, Lalitpur and Kathmandu districts. SEI Nepal has trained more than 400 teachers from 92 different schools in Lalitpur and Sindhupalchowk districts. We have also mobilized more than 30 national and international volunteers to work at our partner schools for at least a month.
