SKIP is a non-profit organisation helping economically-disadvantaged children in El Porvenir to realise their right to an education. We promote quality education and foster the capacity of children and families to be the principal agents of change in their own lives.

When & Who
What we Provide
There are some coordination and leadership roles (for those with qualifications and experience and who are able to commit to a minimum of 9 months) that are exempt from the contribution fee and may include an incentive/living allowance - please see volunteer positions available. We also offer scholarships to South American volunteers - please get in touch for more details.
Accommodation will be provided and those costs are included in the contribution fee. Usually, volunteers share rooms, so please let us know if you really want a private room, and we will do our best to make that happen. Host family options are available, so also let us know your preference during the application process.
1st month: 1600 Nuevos Soles / (approx £340 GBP / $480 USD)
2nd month: 1600 Nuevos Soles / (approx £340 GBP / $480 USD)
3rd-5th month: 1150 Nuevos Soles / £240 / $360 per month
6th-8th month: 820 Nuevos Soles / £175 / $250 per month
9th-12th month: 570 Nuevos Soles / £120 / $170 per month

Created in 2003, SKIP is a non-profit organisation helping economically-disadvantaged children in El Porvenir realise their right to an education. We are currently working on the north coast of Peru, in the impoverished districts that surround the city of Trujillo.
Our team is comprised of volunteers from the community of El Porvenir and Trujillo as well as volunteers from overseas.
