HOPE runs over 60 projects across Education, Protection, Healthcare and Vocational Training that volunteers can support. Teaching, sports, drama, arts are among the skills that would be welcomed at the protection homes. Healthcare professionals can seek opportunities within the hospital as well as support our health care initiatives with our Community Projects team. Teachers too can work at HOPE’s education centres across the city and at the protection homes.
HOPE's Volunteer Placement Programme is open all year round.
Minimum of three weeks, up to a year and beyond
HOPE provides accommodation for all volunteers in Kolkata. Rooms are predominately twin rooms to share although you can request a private room, although depending on volunteer numbers this cannot be guaranteed. HOPE also arranges airport transfers and pick-up. Our local Volunteer Coordinators ensure you have an orientation around the city and HOPE's projects, as well as agree on a volunteer timetable for your time there.
Depends on the length of stay - fundraising details are attached to the HOPE Volunteer Placement Programme application form. Please contact us for more information.
