The Small World is a not-for-profit charitable organization supporting locally driven sustainable community development projects. These projects help to provide education for children, especially young girls at risk for exploitation, and empowerment and opportunities for local communities to break the cycle of poverty
Locally driven community development projects
We provide staffs and all logistic support
1. Empowering local communities through locally driven sustainable community development works that include improving living conditions and creating self-reliance.
2. Providing children, and most especially at risk young girls, with an access to education. We believe that if a girl is educated, she will do the rest – not only for herself, but also for her children, her family, and the community. If you educate a girl, you educate her world!
3. Empowering women, especially those who are single or widowed with children, is our program that trains women in the traditional weaving of Dhaka, an authentic Nepali woven cloth, to help them achieve economic self-sufficiency and independence. For married women, making their own money gives them more or equal power in their home.
