When & Who
What we Provide
Volunteers will be living with an Indian host family. You will have your own room that you may share with another volunteer of the same sex.
Our host families are carefully screened and selected based on VWI requirements. Host families are experienced in the realm of hosting international travelers for a least 10 years. The accommodation and meals provided at the host family will be basic. Staying with a host family is a great way to learn about a host country’s culture and customs.
You will be getting three meals per day from your host family. The food will be traditional but very nutritious.
If you are unable to adjust to food or need more nutrition/protein/special diet you can arrange your own meals from produce at the local market.
$160 Weekly (about $26/day)
More Services we Offer
Transport to and from your project site every day will be by auto-rickshaw (tuk-tuk).

Additional Info about Us
We expect our volunteers to act as workers - they are not simply tourists. They need to understand that they are coming here to work and that they need to live like the people here live by respecting the culture and getting involved with all that is happening in India.
Volunteering With India was founded by a group of friends. With the help of our team members and volunteers (like you!), we work for the development of the community: we instruct teachers and children in rural areas on how to use computers, work with street children, volunteer as medics, support the women empowerment movement, and much more. Recently, we became involved in a program offering theater education to school children; it was amazing to see the kids do so well in the play we produced. The organization is also working with animal care centers in Jaipur and started running an awareness program about animals.
Currently, the organization is running successful volunteering programs in the city of Jaipur and in the rural areas that surround it. Our work is about helping children stay in school and providing them with a superior education to develop their talents; it's about helping women become more independent and informed of their rights; it's about raising awareness about animal rights. We hope our work will help develop a more powerful and educated society.
We welcome every person that wants to help us continue our work in Indian society. The satisfaction that a person gains in working for the benefit of humanity is the greatest one can hold.
