"I volunteered for the DISC Initiatives in summer 2015 for one week. It was a very nice time and I really got to know rural African life. Charles and his team was very friendly and always helped me when I needed help. It was also very interesting to see how African children live and how they spend their free time.
During the week I had the opportunity to visit two schools in the area and see how the children learn there. I also had a tour of a subsistential farm in Donyo, learned about the local fruits and was impressed by the hospitality and atmosphere of the family there. The neighbouring Fourteen Falls were beautiful and a nice walk from the village centre.
All in all I enjoyed my time and am very grateful for the valuable insights into African rural life! ;o)"
