Unforgettable experience!!!!! reviewed by Lee Soyoung
"If I summarized my experience with AHADI in two word, it’s going to be ’precious’ and ‘special’
I always interested in Africa continent ever since when I was really young and as a majoring tourism in university wanted to experience eco-tourism/fair tourism field before I graduate.
I found AHADI organization and they told me I can make my own tourism proposal. I never experience in making tourism proposal for practical uses on my own. I knew it’s going to be hard to make my proposal come true in real life but I decided give it a try. I wanted to used what I learn from university.
While I stay almost 2 months I visited different places that have potential as tourist attraction and trying to make tour program.
I still remember vividly of amazing natural view of kericho. Big track of Tea plantation, blue sky, rain dropping and at night time sparkling lightning bugs are flying. It was so beautiful.
Also loved fruits and roasted maize:)
But what make my experience so special was people. Everyone was so welcoming. Even people I randomly met at street. Especially my host family.
It takes times to adjust new environment for sure but once I did, I really enjoyed the different lifestyle, cultural things and most of all make conversation with people.
Through this experience I definitely gain tourism related experience but not only that I have grew as person, expanding my thought, learning about myself and made good friends.
I highly recommend if you are thinking about joining the program!!

"The ability to communicate and take part in modern media society is vital to young people today. I admire Lola Kenya Screen for the important work that is done to encourage young people to express their views and experiences in the media they find most interesting. I spend my days educating young people in Norway, and I see many similarities, in spite of the different resources available. After my visit in 2010 I have been following the enduring work on a distance. Don't ever give up!"
