Minmahaw is a post-compulsory school for disadvantaged Burmese students (aged 17 - 23). It introduces the students to an international-style experiential education taught by foreign and local volunteers in an immersive English environment i.e all classes and conversations must be conducted in English.
"I cannot express how meaningful and worthwhile my time as a teacher at Minmahaw School was. While being pushed to think about issues along the Thai/Burma border and models of community development, I also had this opportunity to build connections with individual people and an entire community through Minamahaw school. I continue to recommend this experience for all motivated to make a difference in the world and who have skills to share. "
